Event - Deck The Halls

Deck the Halls

Deck the Halls is a fundraiser event that is setup and ran by the Outreach team here at Stong College, where they host a "blind" volleyball game. A blanket is put up on the net to block the vision of the players to add a challenge to the game. This year Jordana and Katia reached out to Dixon Hall to help fund raise for their organization. Dixon Hall, creates lasting solutions to end poverty, social injustices, and isolation in Toronto.

Dixon Hall Neighborhood Services began as a soup kitchen in 1929, and since then has been steadily increasing and strengthening a diverse range of integrated services for residents of east downtown Toronto.

Dixon Hall serves more than 10,000 people annually, impacting the lives of the most vulnerable and the most at-risk members of our community. We work with at-risk youth, seniors, adults with physical and health disabilities, people who need housing, individuals searching for employment, those with mental health issues, and newly immigrated individuals and their families.

Hello Spartans,

Our names are Jordana and Katia and we are so excited to be your Outreach Directors for the 2018-2019 school year.

Our position on council focuses on giving back to the community by organizing and running chairity events throughout the school year

This year we are planning on making it the most successful year Outreach has ever seen. This will only be possible if all of your beautiful faces come out to these events. There will be tons of amazing prizes and raffles to be given out at our main events (like during Frosh week and Deck the Halls) so we really hope to see you there!

Giving back and helping others is something we are extremely passionate about, and it is an incredible privilege that we are able to share our passion with all of you and the Stong as a collective! So help us help others this year by attending our events and getting as involved as possible in the Stong community
