SCSG is happy to announce that Stong’s Annual Blue Mountain trip is BACK! Join us February 23-25 to experience the best weekend ever, with skiing, snowboarding, exploring the Blue Mountain Village, and hanging out with your friends!
🎟️Your ticket will include 2-night hotel stay, transportation to and from Blue Mountain, and either Lift Pass or a Play-all-day pass (read below for more info).
🗓️When: Coach buses will depart from Stong College on the afternoon of Friday, February 23rd and will return on the afternoon of Sunday, February 25th.
👥Who: This trip is open to all Stong Constituents and Stong alumni, as well as current York University students and Non-York students (guests of constituents). However, first priority for ticket sales will be given to Stong Constituents.
There are no refunds for tickets permitted! You must buy the correct ticket type.

Hotel Info:
We will be staying at the Blue Mountain Village Hotels
(not the cabins). All suites will have a full kitchen and dining room. After you purchase your ticket we will open a Rooming Request form for you to fill out. There are a limited number of 6-person rooms available so they will be first come first serve. There will be 2 hotel room types available:

1 Bed + Sofa (4 people)

1 Bed + Sofa & Den (6 people)
Each room will need to have a credit card holder to put down a deposit to get your room!
Lift/Play Tickets:
Tickets are available with EITHER lift passes or play-all-day passes. They can be used Saturday from 9 AM - 9 PM and CANNOT be transferred.

Lift Tickets can be used for lift access for ski hills.

Play-All-Day passes are intended for NON skiers/ snowboarders and grant access to skating, tubing and more. For more info on play-all-day passes, click here.
Equipment Rentals:
Since equipment is not included in ticket cost, this year we are providing a discounted cost for renting equipment. You can purchase an optional “Equipment” add-on which will include a full set of either snowboarding or skiing equipment for $70. This is optional and is a discounted price to what Blue Mountain would normally charge for equipment. You can purchase this after you buy your ticket if you need to.
Ticket Types:
You will be required to purchase the correct ticket type, otherwise your ticket will be cancelled.
Transportation:
We will be taking coach buses from York to Blue Mountain. We will depart from York on Friday afternoon and return Sunday afternoon (exact times TBA). If you are bringing equipment, it is your responsibility to ensure it is safely packed. The cost of transportation is included in your ticket, however if you would like to get there on your own you are welcome to do so (just let us know!)

FAQ
I'm not a Stong constituent, can I still come?
Yes! If you're a York U student but a part of a different college, just purchase the "York U" ticket type. However, as a non-constituent, you will have to be a guest of someone from Stong and will need to provide their Student # at checkout. Please note that these tickets will go on sale a day after they are released for constituents.
What if tickets sell out?
If tickets sell out and you want to attend the trip, you can try to buy one from someone else. However, it MUST be the same ticket type (i.e. a NON-Stong constituent CANNOT buy a Stong ticket). Please note that it IS possible that tickets sell out before they go on sale to non-Stong. In the case that this occurs, only Stong constituents will be allowed on the trip.
Are we staying in the cabins like last year?
This year we are staying in the Blue Mountain Village Suites. These are hotel-style accommodations which are directly in the village property (very close to the slopes!) Each room has a kitchen and dining area.
How do I pick my roommates?
After ticket sales close, we will post a Rooming Request form where you can indicate your preferred roommates. You will have the option to pick a 6-person or 4-person room, however, the room types are first come first serve. Once one type of room is sold out, you will have to be in the other one. You do not need to know all of your roommates, you can fill it out as a group of 2 if needed.
Is equipment rental included in my ticket?
No - if you want to skii/snowboard but you have no equipment, you should purchase the Equipment Rental add-on which comes with a full set of equipment for a day. This is offered at a discounted price through Stong ($70 including HST).
